Our section meets the fourth Wednesday (unless
otherwise noted) of each
month at local sites in the Hudson Valley. Please see the schedule information
below for
current information. The meetings consist of networking, dinner and a
program of Quality relating to various industrial sectors

Be sure to provide you name and menu choice. (Note: menu choices may be found
with the other details of our next meeting). Please make reservations in advance. However, if you do not make reservations,
you are still more than welcome to attend, although dinner cannot be
guaranteed.

ISO 9001:2008 in Healthcare" A path forward to improve patient care and
reduce costs.
Hospitals are opting to become ISO 9001 certified. Many mid-western
hospitals are choosing
this path. Is it a fad or the wave of the future and away to deliver better

About the speaker…
Glenn Tanzman has an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and
a BS in Chemistry from
CCNY. He is a Certified Manufacturing Engineer from SME. He is VP of
Programs for the
Mid-Hudson Chapter of APICS and serves on their Board of Directors. He is
APICS certified
as both CPIM (Production and Inventory Management) and CSCP (Certified
Supply Chain
Professional). Glenn also serves on the ASQ Section 302 Board of Director as
Education
Chairmen. He has written courses in Warehouse Management and Inventory
Management
offered by HVTDC and ITAC.
Glenn was recently served on the F40 committee of ASTM that sets policy
objectives in the
US regarding supply chain activities for Declared Substances including the
RoHS and
REACH Directives. Glenn has given numerous RoHS and REACH workshops and is a
subject matter expert in this field.
He is an ISO 9001/ISO 14001 Certified Lead Auditor and has achieved the
RABQSA-OI level
as a Business Improvement QMS Auditor. Glenn is the principal of Tanzco
Management
Consulting, which specializes in Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, and
Supply Chain
training and consulting. Tanzco is an approved provider for the Hudson
Valley Technology
Development Center (HVTDC), the Industrial Technological Assistance
Corporation (ITACNYC),
and The Trade Adjustment Assistance Center (TAAC) and Connstep in
Connecticut.
Glenn teaches Organizational Behavior and Operations Management at Marist
College in
Poughkeepsie, NY.
